Hello my name is John. I restore, recondition vintage microphones fordisplay, prop and functional use.I am offering this 1940\'s era Amperite PGAH Microphone with standfor display, prop or upgrade. It was cable tested with no out put. Appears to have the original element. This model was a high impedance model and sold for $25 back in the forties which was a good chunk of money back then. I sold a PGH model a while back that did not have the above average chrome like this one does. Both models show up from time to time but tend to be less common then some of the other brand name microphones of the era. The screen is nice and clean on this one and the label is also in good condition. The joint mechanism for angling the microphone is nice and tight and the threading for mounting on a stand is clear and functional. The threading for a cable is also functional but has some indentation on one side. I was impressed at the weight that the element and element housing had. They carry most of the weight of this model. They took an offset 3 pin cable as a few other microphones of the day. A very nice piece of Americana from the Amperite company of New York City.
