Vintage 1940's Chinese Sterling Silver Filigree Enamel Coral Brooch Pin
This sale is for a colorful and finely made, sterling filigree and coral brooch, that was made in China during the 1940's.This piece is marked "silver" on the back of the piece and the brooch is accented with natural coral. The brooch measures 1 1/4" x 7/8" wide and is just under 1/2" thick at its thickest point. The pinback works smoothly and securely and is original to the piece. The brooch has an intricately made filigree base that is in a floral design and finished with blue and purple enamel. The coral is a deep and rich pink color (its not quite as "hot" and orange as in the photos) that contrasts prettily from the setting. The coral is 3/4" in length and has a thickly domed shape that juts out from the base of the brooch. There are no dings or wear to the coral, no irregularities to the silver, and the enamel is 95% intact. Overall this is a colorful and finely made, sterling filigree and coral brooch, that was made in China during the 1940's and is in Excellent condition.
