Hallmark on globe is locatedin the North Pacific Ocean and reads:

"Made By REPOGLE GLOBES, CHICAGO, ILL.

CLEAR - ACCURATE - UP-TO-DATE."

This wonderfultime capsuleglobe takes usback toour high school days...there was onejust like it in history class, study-hall and the library.

This is an excellent, quality example of the large 12" Standard Repogle World Globe on a metal axis base.

Measures approximately17-1/2" high x 12 diameter, and metal base diameterapproximately 9". Repogle Globepivots on a secure metal axis connected to the base at the bottom -- there is no wobbleto thisone at all,it fitssecurely, likethe day it was made!

Top metal dialwith High Noon, Midnight and Sunset zone indicator isintact and in very good condition showing just a bit of light wear.This globe is nice and clean as you can see, no stain, no rust, no damage, no warpand as mentioned above - fits nice and snuginto the base without any tilting or wobble.

The maps and graphics are all very clean, very legible and in excellent condition overall - not worn or rubbed-off at all. There are about 6 small dots across North Africa, that are tiny and look as though the globe may have run into something while twirling on axis orrubbed against something many years ago. Otherwise, this globe showingnot much wear and tear,and no serious scratchingto speak of.
