Vintage 1940's Mexican Sterling Silver Turquoise Mexico 50g 1" Wide Bracelet For Sale
Vintage 1940's Mexican Sterling Silver Turquoise Mexico 50g 1" Wide Bracelet
This sale is for a finely made and striking, sterling silver and turquoise bracelet, that was made in Mexico during the 1940's.This piece is marked only "Silver Mexico" which pre-dates the eagle marking system. The bracelet has an inside circumference of 7", it is a full 1" wide, and weighs 49.9 grams. The bracelet closes securely with its original hidden push clasp, and has safety chain loops, but not the original chain. This piece is special for its raised domed design, that wraps around the entire bracelet, and is accented with natural turquoise stones at the front. The turquoise is tiny (2 -2.5mm in diameter) but is domed in shape jutting out from the base of the bracelet so the piece has a nice amount of color contrast and texture. There are no missing turquoise stones and they all look original to the piece without any chips and very little surface wear. There is one tiny section around one of the stones that has a break and tear in the silver but the stone is still secure in the setting and it is noticeable only upon close inspection. There are no other irregularities to the silver, no signs of solder or repair, and no dents to the half-domes. The bracelet has a nice patina with a bright contrast between the silver in the domes and the base of the bracelet. Overall this is a finely made and striking, sterling silver and turquoise bracelet, that was made in Mexico during the 1940's that is in Excellent condition.
