Vintage 1941 Crown Trifari Sterling Vermeil Jelly Belly Sailfish Fur Clip For Sale
Fur Clip1 7/8" x 2 7/8" (+ or - a fraction on that last measurement). The original sailfish in sterling vermeil. Gold plating is in quite fine condition. I'd say perfect, but there appears to be some tarnish. The rhinestones are more than respectable for seven decades in situ. The lucite, which I have tried to photograph very well for you, has something in it I can only calls LIGHTS. There are no rough places on the exterior, but there are tiny and numerous lights running through the body, especially when you hold it at certain angles. They are toward the back, so the front is quite clear. And the lights are rather attractive -- but they don't belong there, of course. Can't imagine what caused them. Still a wonderful piece.CareStore wrapped in acid-free tissue in a non-oak container. Keep dry, especially rhinestones. Never throw a vintage piece in a drawer or onto a table top. That's how scratches and chips appear. These lovely pieces from the 40s and 50s are American treasures, and there won't be any more of them.Packing and Shipping NoteWill be wrapped in acid-free tissue, boxed, and shipped in a padded envelope. Regrettably, shipping rates have gone up, particularly international ones. Please do not pay for the first item if there is a possibility of your winning a second within a week. Or, if you can't resist, please tell me not to send it. Thanks! On Feb-21-13 at 05:42:48 PST, seller added the following information:Marked on reverse: Trifari with a crown, Des. Pat. No. 129165, and -- on the tail -- STERLING.
