Vintage 1950 Singer 221-1 Featherweight Sewing Machine, Original & Working For Sale
Up for sale is a vintage 1950 Singer 221-1 Featherweight Sewing Machine. I can't tell you much about the machine other than the following. The machine appears to work well. When plugged in the light does turn on with the little switch. When you press the foot pedal, the machine does start cycling. All the parts move, all the levers go up and down, the knob and dials turn, nothing is seized up. It is original, not refurbished. The paint is in darn good shape including the gold leaf detail. This has been used so please expect some very minor surface scuffing and scratching. The tray goes up and down perfectly. There's no corrosion or heavy wear, just normal wear. Everything seems to be in really great shape. You get a lot of "stuff" with this we do not know what it is. Please see the pictures as what you see will be what you get. The case is in decent shape however its corners are beat up. There is other fabric wear on the side. The leather handle is also cracked and damaged. The case does have the top tray insert. The serial number to this is AJ103845. We have 3 of these we are listing so please see our other listings. We offer parcel post shipping and we do add $2 to that for insurance that is shown as a handling fee.We require the buyer to file any insurance claims when they arenecessary.Everything will be well padded.
