From time to time I come across movie props that were used in some of the westerns shot here in Santa Fe and around New Mexico . I got this hat in with a large collection from a local costumer, I bought the entire, large lot of old movie hats. A 25 year collection.This is a top quality, older ROYAL 5-X beaver, From the 1950s. The hat has a 6 inch“Gus” crownwith a 3 1/2 inch brim . Color is rust. Size is a looser 7 1/4 . Please check your circumference before offerding? Check the chart for your size. No odor or moth damage. Great hat for a SASS shooter. UPS to the lower 48 states only. We have 3 big western movie sets (towns) here in Santa Fe including the Eaves Movie Ranch, Ford Movie Set and the Bonanza Creek Movie Set. 2-4 movies are being shot here most of the time. I rode as a mounted extra in one show last year (that's me on the gray) . Hundreds of westerns have been shot here over the years including Lonesome Done, Silverado, 3:10 to Yuma and True Grit. The new Johnny Depp western the Lone Ranger shot in the area last summer. I sell my listings WITHOUT A RESERVE , and NO returns.
