The collection was brought to us via the Celebrity Sleuth, the publisher of the infamous magazine of the same name, which made the “before they were famous” nude pictorials of TV & film stars a hotly collectible genre. As part of his work, the Sleuth frequented vintage bookstores to pore over old magazines in hopes of recognizing celebrities whose images would later appear in the pages of his own magazine. At Alexandria, Virginia’s From Out of the Past bookstore, he met Dick Higgins, who worked at the store for over 35 years, never receiving a salary…instead simply being paid in his choice of magazines.The two formed a friendship and bond ... and Higgins wanted Sleuth to share his collection after his death in 2015, which we are over the moon to have the opportunity to at this time do!ITEM: This is a vintage & complete c. 1950s issue of Foto-Studiermagazine (No. 6).
