Vintage 1950's HUGE Rhinestone Collar Wide Necklace
This sale is for a striking and sparkling, rhinestone collar necklace, that is from the 1950's.This piece is silvertone measuring 14 1/4" long, is 1 5/8" wide at its wide at its widest point, and closes securely with a simple hook and latch clasp that looks great either worn at the front or the back. This piece is well made with a lot of rhinestones and has a substantial feel when worn at 169 grams. The necklace has tiers of rhinestones that graduate slightly in size as the stones go outward from the neck. The largest rectangular stones measure 3/8" in length and the smaller rhinestones are 4mm in diameter. There are no rhinestones missing and they all look original to the piece. There are no chips to the glass and the faceting is very fresh and crisp. The smaller rhinestones have a little bit of darkening and wear to the foiling here and there but it is a very modest amount - the square rhinestones have almost no wear to the foiling and are perfectly bright and shiny. There are no irregularities to the setting, no signs of solder or repair, and the piece has a very bright and fresh patina. Overall this is a striking and sparkling, rhinestone collar necklace, that is from the 1950's and is in Excellent condition.
