Vintage 1950s Lace Peignoir Nightgown and Robe Vanity Fair
This is a lovely reminder of what it was to be a LADY in the 1950’s and early 1960’s; demure and sexy at the same time. This is a peignoir set, consisting of a beautiful nightgown and matching robe. I remember my mother having an entire drawer of these that she received at her bridal shower. This one is by Vanity Fair. It is pale blush color Nylon Tricot fabric with white lace. The bust is covered in sheer blush color organza that continues over the shoulder to create the straps of the nightgown. The robe has sleeves and an upper bodice made of the same organza and lace. Both garments are floor length. Label inside robe reads, “ Vanity Fair”, Nylon Tricot, Size 36. Label inside nightgown reads, ‘Vanity Fair”, Nylon Tricot, Size 36, Style 282.
Condition:Pristine/Excellent Vintage Condition. This Peignoir set appears to have been rarely worn.
