Vintage 1950s Swiss Thorens Music Box Inlaid Wood Design Plays 4 Songs
This gorgeous wooden Thorens music box stands approximately 2.5 inches tall,
is 5.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.
It features an inlaid shield symbol on its top and has a lovely, very shiny lacquered finish.
The box winds and plays perfectly.
Inside lid is a green and white Thorens label that states it is Made in Switzerland,
No. 26 and a list of the four German Bavarian songs that play are Marcheta, Biem, Student Prince in Heidelberg, and Biem.
There is very slight wear to the left side front corner of the lid at the point where the lid
meets the box and also a tiny wear spot on the left edge of the top of the lid about 1/4 of the way from the back.
These spots are hard to see and do not detract much from the beauty of this vintage piece.
Included with the music box are a vintage George Washington 5 cent stamp and a small
vintage litho tri-fold card of Bible Promises that were both found inside the box.
I believe the box dates from the 1950s.
