You are offerding on an original 1950s Art Deco style desklamp manufactured by Temde , Switzerland. The lampshade is made of glass with an opaque cream glaze on the outside and a white glaze on the inside to maximise light reflection. The stem is made of brass with a flex design on its top end allowing for adjustment and finished by a joint to adjust the lampshade. The bottom part of the stem is made of walnut with vertical brass inlay. The base is made of cast iron with a walnut cover. There is a brass decorative button placed on its centre and it also bears the original Bakelite switch. The base has a brass rim.

The lamp is in good conditionand in full working order. The lampshade presents with an age related chip (2.5cm long) on its bottom rim. However, this does not interfere with the overall look of the piece. The lamptakesone Edison screw (screw fit) bulb and is fitted with aUK plug. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to haveit checked by a qualified electrician.
