You are looking at an Astatic 10-C ceramic microphonefrom the early 1960\'s with painted body and chrome front grill with Astatic F-11 adapter. Pic # 2 is from a catalog I have showing the make and it\'s characteristics when it was manufactured.
The 10-C was a general purpose microphone set at High Z and could be used for basic broadcasting purposes. These also make excellent harp mics as well because of the unique sound. This 10-C has been cleaned and tested. the original element is pretty strong and one of the better I have heard over the years.
As you can see in the photo\'s she is very good with very small wear on the original grey paint. The black screen is slightly faded but the chrome on the front grill is superb as well as on the F-11 adapter. The joint mechanism holds strong and allows for a good degree of tilt backwards. Mic is solid with no loose parts inside or out.
The Astatic F-11 adapter will come in handy so that you can mount this mic to any American mic stand. The adapter has a 5 foot long cable that is soft and pliable. The end connector is a standard Switchcraft chrome plated 1/4 inch connector for use with most modern audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.
Display it proudly anywhere in the home, office or studio or hook her and go live. One of the nicer 10-C mics and an easy 8 + on a scale of 1 - 10.
