The Pawns are approx. 3 inches tall and the other pieces range from 2.5 to 3.75 inches tall. The set depicts the British vs. Indians in the Sepoy Indian Revolution of 1857. The British pieces are marked \"The Queen\'s Forces Against The Mutineers\" and the Indian pieces are marked \"The Forces Of The Rebellion\" and FM© 87. This set consists of 32 playing pieces that depict historically accurate portrait sculptures of the key figures in the Indian Mutiny of 1857. All of the pieces are hand painted with the finest detail that you would expect from the Franklin Mint. The mahogany finished wood chess board is approx. 20\" square with a cast marble surface [APPROX 19\"X19\"] that replicas the intricate tile work in the Taj Mahal and two compartmented drawers for storage of the chess set.This is a work of art.
