Vintage 40s/50s Blue Embroidered Gabardine Western Cowgirl Skirt Globe Tailors:
Vintage 1940s/1950s cobalt blue gabardine western skirt with white details and glorious embroidery.
This has a high waist and white belt loops, matching the white arrows on either side of the horizontal hip pockets.
The skirt is a-line, with green, yellow and beige flowers embroidered on either side near the hem. The embroidery is done with a shiny satin thread, and it's quite intricate, so it really pops against the matte blue background.
The Globe Tailors made high quality, high style western wear, similar to Nudie and Manuel. This is the third piece I've had of theirs and the workmanship is top notch.
Fabric/Contents: Probably wool - medium weight and slightly stiff.
Closures: Metal zipper and snap up the side of the waist.
Lining: Satin lining around the waist.
Measurements:Waist: 26 inchesHips: 46 inchesLength: 28 inches
Label: "The Globe Tailors 1601 W. Nedro Ave. Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Mary..."
Condition: Good. Structurally this is in perfect condition but there are spots on the front of the skirt like something was spilled. I've taken photos of most of them, but there are additional spots. They look a little darker in the photos than they appear in person. I have not tried to clean this, nor have I had it dry cleaned.
