Wonderful vintage 1950s full skirt with a Greek mythology novelty print/border print.

The skirt has a fitted waist with wide loops for a belt. It is full with pleats all the way around. I used a small petticoat for the photos - it is not included.

This is made of a medium brown cotton (with a hint of gray) printed with ancient Grecian ships, characters, horses, and carriages in black, pink, white, and purple. The words \"Sikon\" and \"E Voos\" are repeated around the top. The only reference I can find is to Sikon who was the cook character in an ancient Greek Comedy. To me this scene looks more like Greek or Trojan warriors or gods.Closures: Buttons and a metal zipper up the back.

Waist: 26 inches
Hips: 74 inches
Length: 29 inches

Label: None - it may be handmade, though it\'s well done.

Condition: Excellent - just a tiny bit of fading from laundering, one small faint spot (see photo), and this might be missing its original belt, otherwise I cannot find a flaw.
