See detailed CONDITION Explanation in \"Condition Description\" box above.I have a small collection of Shackman items (mostly sleepy babies and related babies) that I bought on several years ago. I\'ll be selling off some of them now and then. NOTE: I bought this doll on several years ago when I was actively collecting \"Shackman\" items and mostly Sleepy Babies. I wanted to compare this \"Toys Unlimited\" version. This doll has a similar look and feel to the Shackman\'s. This one has a great tuft of soft hair and is wearing a mesh cotton cap as opposed to the usual \"solid\" cotton material. He\'s called \"The Sleeping Baby\" rather than \"Sleepy Baby\". As far as I know, the Shackman dolls came out first. I can\'t find this one on anywhere, so I\'m thinking it could be somewhat rare especially in this pristine condion. INCLUDES:
  • The Sleeping Baby doll in blue satiny pajama bottoms with pink ties around ankles, white top and cap. Two paper stickers on back: Orange - says \"Japanese Patent Pending 13955 (Design Patent)\". Navy blue - says: \"Pat. Pending No. 48523 C BS & Co.\"
  • Original Box. Marked Toys Unlimited, N.Y. Copyright Patent Pending No. 48523. Made in Japan. Also says \"A new concept in dolls. A real cuddly soft sleeping baby for the first time. A delight to play with. Bottom of box is stamped \"BLUE\".
