Vintage (70s ?) Big Very Colorful Patchwork Quilt Top, Machine Sewn 116" X 110" For Sale
The bed on which the pics were taken is a queen size that measures, approximately, 80" by 60". This quilt top of course goes overboard on both sides and, mostly, at the feet of the bed. We placed the top with the longest measurement along the bed and the shortest across. The pattern seems log cabin, but we are not really sure, so please check it out and you be the judge. The fabrics used are wool, cotton, polyester, and maybe some other. It is machine sewn, as you'll see below. We think this is a quilt that was started in the 1970's, never finished. It can be used as a bedspread, or maybe it was intended as a bedspread all along. On the right size bed, this bedspread would look wonderful, as you can imagine from our photos. It is also very heavy, 5 or 6 lbs. It has no sings of have been used. It seems it was made and kept in storage, maybe waiting for the right time to make it a quilt, or just forgotten. It has no holes, no stains, no signs of wear at all. As said above, this top measures approximately 116' by 100". it seems to us it would be good for a king size bed, but you decide about that.
