Vintage Ace High Mk Ii 70" Rc Powered Glider Model Airplane Plan + Partspatterns:
I AM NOT SELLING A KIT NOR A MODEL, only a new, full-size PLAN and full-size parts patterns for building the latest ACE HIGH MK II RC glider.
TO BUILD YOUR WINGS, YOU WILL NEED FOAM WING PANELS. I DO NOT OFFER FOAM WINGS WITH THIS PLAN.
Flying my vintage ACE HIGH72" span,single-channel RC glider that used a Cox Baby Bee on a power pod was one really relaxing way to spend an afternoon. I stillhave the modelin my workshop because it isready to go after all these years. You can see my oldred & white, monokote-covered wing with a power pod in picture #5 placed over these MARK II kit plans and parts patterns.
All you have to do to make yourself a complete, excellent fun-flying glider is use the patterns sheet to cut out the parts and glue it all together.I include a copy of the Ace instructionsheetthat was always included in Ace kits on how to assemble their foam wing sections; how to addtrailing edge strips as well as applying the traditional strapping tape from tip to tip to give the foam wing the necessary rigidity and strength for long-time service.
THISPLAN IS FOR THE UPDATED MK IIVERSION OF THE GREAT ACE HIGH AND ISIS UPDATED TO 2-CHANNELRC. IT MAY BESTRONGER &LIKELY WILL LAST LONGER THAN THE VINTAGE ACE HIGHMODEL. YET I DID NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM AT ALL WITH MY ORIGINAL MODEL'S DURABILITY.THAT'S WHY I HAVE KEPT IT ALL THESE YEARS.
IT SHOULD BE FAIRLY EASY TO ADD ELECTRIC POWER ON THE POWER POD. IHAVE ADDED A PICTURE OF SUCH A SETUP FROM GERALD BAILY WHO USEDAN ELECTRIC PUSHER SETUP ON HIS NOMAD SAILPLANE. THANKS, GERALD, FRO SHARING WITH US.
MY COMPLETED RED AND WHITE FOAM WING with the power pod that I picture IS NOT FOR SALE.
