Original Vintage Antonio Pineta Sterling Silver Mid-Century Modern Taxco Bracelet, made in Mexico. This bracelet isextraordinary. It is a linked and hinged bracelet with a tongue clasp that blends in with the design. It also has a safety chain. The modernist bracelet is in good vintage condition, with some surface scratches. It is stamped "Hecho en Mexico, 970", with Pineta's crown and an eagle. 970 is of higher quality than sterling. I did not polish it, that's up to you. This bracelet measures 8 1/4" x 3/4" when worn and opens to 10 1/2" with thesafetychain. It weighs 95.3 grams. From the side the links look like ribbon candy. The hinged inside is as beautiful as the outside! Pineta was born in 1919 and passed away in 2009 at age 90. He worked under both William Spratling and Valentin Vidaurreta. He is considered one of the leading silversmith-designers of Taxco. And when you put this bracelet on, you will know why.
