Priced in Dutch Guilders, these menus, from 2 different coffee shops legally offered marijuana and hash to their customers and traveler's to the Amsterdam area. Different strains or types of pot or hash were sold per weight for the price in Guilders shown. The Dutch guilder was the currency of the Netherlands from the 17th century until 2002, when it was replaced by the euro. Marijuana and Hash are legal in Amsterdam in small quanties. Designated coffee shops are licensed to sell to the public. People traveling to Amsterdam need to learn some local knowledge on when & where it is appropriate to smoke as while it is legal, you wouldn't just want to light up anywhere. For example, you wouldn't smoke in a family resturant or somewhere where you might be bothering someone. Many places are exceptable and the coffeshops offer a place where you can go and try different flavors from around the world without worry that you're doing something wrong. It's legal - and ittakes some getting used to.
There are 2 posters included in this sale. The first one was a coffeeshop called Nice Dreams (no longer operating under that name). The second was from a Coffee Shop called Easy Times (not sure if they are still around). Both offered many interesting items such as Chocolate Space Cake as well as coffee, fresh fruit cocktails, juice and other tasty treats.Themenusare reproduced in quality color on 80lb poster paper. Great for your resturant, bar, shop or anywhere persons maybe be amused that such a thing actually exists.
