Vintage Anri Hand Carved Wooden Bald Man With Ruffled Collar Bottle Stopper For Sale
This is a very nicely hand carved and painted vintage Anri bottle stopper. The gentleman is wearing a ruffled collar which tells me that he might be afigure from the past - ora clown with no makeup - or a priest. In any event, the carving is exceptional. He has a wrinkled forehead, crinkles around his eyes, well defined cheeks & eyebrows, a wide mouth, and a little double chin. He is quite charming. Measures 3 1/2 inches with cork. He has darkened a bit with age which just makes him more interesting. The cork has been replaced. He is in excellent condition.
