Florentine needle work. I was sold this as c.1900. But I would say it is more like 1920s.
Worked in wool with many hues of colour in intricate effects of geometric pattern.
It is edged in, what looks like a wool binding, and lined in a brocade which is badly freyed.
It could do with a dry clean.
Size: 34x33 cms.
