This sale is for an original old 1870s era cigar box panels are a hardwood, perhaps mahogany this explains why after more than 138 years the wood is flat and straight has the originalan early brass locking mechanism which works.

The manufacturer of these cigars tried really hard to please the customer, since the box itself exhibits expensive materials, too bad it was a short lived brand of cigars and there may be one or two others out there.

Box is called \"Tecumseh No.1\" probably the name of the earlysteam fire pumper pictured on the lithographed label inside and printed on the top of the lid.

Box stamped on bottom by the manufacturer 100 Krohn, Feiss & Co. and has remains ofthe manufacturers paper label.

Measures 4-5/8\" tall, 8-3/8\" wide, and 5\" deep. A most unusual and rare item.
