Vintage Antique Philco Tabletop Console Tube Radio Record Player -non Working:
Vintage Antique Philco tabletop console tube Radio Record Player. Looks great. Wood is in excellent condition to be of this age. I'm sure whoever had this unit prior to me took excellent care of it. This one won't last long… This awesome Antique Philco tabletop Radio/Record Player is a great project. The sound comes on when you turn on the radio, (tuner doesn't tune) so wasn't able to pick up a station. Turntable platter turns, don't know if it plays. I used it as a prop in an antique designed room. I made lots of photos to show you as much as I can. Looks like a fun project if one is mechanically inclined or it may work when you turn it on, if you know how to work it…..I don't have a clue. I plugged it in, turned the radio part on and static came thru the speakers. Aesthetically, it is in really good condition with very few scratches, the inside of the record player is very clean and very few scratches. The latch that lowers the top of the record player could use someWD-40 so it will close smoother. If you have additional questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to ask.
*In full disclosure, I am going to state that the unit is a "project" and does not work, so if it does work when you receive it, GREAT! I just don't want anyone to buy anything from me and be disappointed, so hopefully it works great, but if not, I apologize….
I'm sorry but I do not accept returns, however I will double box the unit and over-pack to make sure it arrives to you intact.
Thanks so much for looking at this great vintage piece of history. Hopefully, you can and will restore it to it's original glory days….. this is where the veneer needs to be reglued and a little stain put on it note the inside top of the record player how nice the finish is.. note the excellent condition of the record player. back of unit unit turned up on it's side to show you some of the mechanics of the unit. It also has a diagram you can see on the bottom of both of these pages. Photo from the bottom of the unit. _gsrx_vers_525 (GS 6.6.5 (525))
