Vintage Art Deco Sessions Westminster Chime 5 Rod Mantle Shelf Clock Repair Nr:
PLEASE NOTE: The strike portion of this clock does NOT work.
A beautiful vintage electric Sessions mantle clock in the Art Deco style, presumed circa 1939. The clock is housed in a wooden case
with a lovely wood grain and a great looking louvered pattern on either side. The time portion of the clock is currently running good
and keeping time; the 5-rod Westminster chime / strike portion of the clock is NOT working. I am selling this clock "AS IS", in need
of "REPAIR", with no implied guarantee or warranty. The clock is in the same condition I received it in from an estate. The case is
made of wood/ veneer and has a dark stain finish. The case has some small scratches/dings/dents and a cluster of very small chips to
the finish on the right top rounded surface and a 1/16" gap where the top right side flat wood meets the rounded
top wood. Please see the 12 detailed pictures for condition. The silvered dial has raised brass/black Arabic numerals and is in excellent
condition. There are fancy hands for the minute and hour and a small hand at the 6 o'clock position for the seconds. The brass bezel with
convex glass is in very good condition. Attached to the inside of the rear door is the Sessions paper with the operating directions and
guarantee in very good condition. The model number, "299 D W" is in red ink at the top and "12-39" is stamped over the other lettering,
presumed a date code. The case measures 10" in height, 16-1/2" in width and 6" in depth. The dial measures 6" in diameter and the clock
weighs in at 7 pounds - 1 ounce.
This attractive clock would be a wonderful addition to any room in your home!
