Advertising Slogans used on this unit are as follows:
"Aunt Jemima Pancake Flour"
At the bottom it reads "I'se in town, Honey"
The "Paper" it is made on is, very unusual, like a fiber or something and the "black Ink" is not even like an ink, is is more like an Oil..
Actual color is more of the Yellowish tan shown in several of the pictures supplied, and not the white shown in the pictures that were taken with flash.. The Black IS glossy as shown is several of the pictures, because of its "oily" nature.
The image can be seen equally well from front or back. In other words it is very translucent. (of course the wording is inverted from the back side)
It may well be that this unit was a prototype or Litho blotter for actually Making other posters.. We have heard that there were cardboard advertising units in this era (1920s) that were of cardboard and ropes were actuallyacceding"through" AuntJeremiahs Hands and into the swing.
It has a heavy hint of a "burlap" "oily" type smell when removed from between the 2 pieces of plexi-glass that it is now sandwiched between.
There is a damage to the bottom edge and minor stains on the top edge, from its originalremovalfrom between 2piecesof glass where it was sealed in with some 1940s type sealant.
