Vintage Authentic Mexican Folk Art Rustic Handmade Clay Piggy Bank. Beautifully hand painted with a floral motif throughout. Shades of peach, plum, sepia and olive. This has a very rustic, and rough finish throughout with no cracks, chips or repairs that I can see. Has a nice faded beauty to it and is simply charming. The opening does not detract in any way from its beauty. The face shows a scratch across. It is marked Mexico. It measures approximately7 1/2\" across and stands about 7 1/2\" tall with about 5 1/2\" wide at the belly.
This is an outstanding and charming little piece of Mexican Folk art. The overall naturally rustic appearance and slightly distressed finish are consistent throughout the piece and appropriate for its age. I find the color scheme to be particularly appealing and subdued.
