Vintage BURNHAM B59Fountain PenENGLAND c.1950Magenta, Rose and Grey marbling with Gold filled Trim.Here for your consideration, a very beautiful Vintage Burnham B59Fountain Pen.....manufactured in England around 1950This is the \"top of the range\" model....it is a Lever-Filler.....it has been serviced, re-sac\'d, and is in excellent working condition.The finish is in a very beautiful Magenta, Rose and Grey marbled Caseine, I believe, ...with gold filled trim....if, indeed it is made of Caseine and not celluloid....this material should not be dipped in water for any length of time or it will damage the plastic through swelling and shrinkage....Caseine pens were often of very beautiful designs, but care should be shown when cleaning them.
The Cap\'s clip is in very good condition....there is the usual plating loss as they only had a very thin coat of gold plate. It has BURNHAM imprinted vertically on it. The Clip lock on the top is also in very good overall condition.The triple Cap rings are in great condition ...very little wear to the plating.
The Cap has no cracks, only light wear commensurate with age and usage....it tightens up very securely to the barrel.The Nib is quite large and in lovely condition....it has good iridium and it writes very smoothly, freely and well.It is medium tipped and is Firm with only a little flex....med to medium broad...I would say.The Feed and Section are both in excellent condition, no marks.
The Barrel is generally in lovely condition ...only wear commensurate with age and careful use.The Barrel imprint is a very worn but can still be read ...it reads...

MADE IN ENGLAND...is very worn.This is a lovely pen which is still in very nice condition throughout.....the Lever-Filling system is working well.It has been serviced and re sac\'d.
Overall, a very beautiful, collectable and usable vintage British BURNHAM B59 fountain pen which feels wonderful to write with.
