Thisvintage pin is 2 3/8" long, topped with a 3/4"Bellevue emblem that is accented with blue enamel. The middle section is a silver color and the outer wreath is more golden in color. There is some enamel loss around some of the letters in "Bellevue". Please see all the pictures and use zoom for detail.
"The Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing, New York City, founded in 1873, was the first school of nursing in the United States to be founded on the principles of nursing established by Florence Nightingale. The School operated at Bellevue Hospital until its closure in 1969.(Wikipedia).
