This board game belonged to my parents. It has been packed away for many years. I remember we played it a few times as kids, but always with my parents. It was never one of our \"kid\'s\" games that ended up on our playroom shelves, that we could take out and use whenever we wanted to. It was always special. I was going to guess at the date to be in the late 1930\'s to early 40\'s, but the publication and trademark dates are printed right on the HOME space in the center of the board. 1938 is the publishing date, and it was trademarked and registered in the U.S. in 1874. The pieces were always carefully returned to their box, and put away in our parents room. I was astonished when we recently found it and it is in such wonderful condition. There are a few rubs here and there. A few of the corners of the box and board are worn. But for its age - 77 years - it\'s amazing. The graphics are still clear, and dare I say.....crisp. The colors are vivid, and the paper still adheres to the board and box. There is a small bit of damage to the end of the center fold of the board, and I have taken a close-up pic of that. There is also a drop of what could be red nail polish on the back of the board. Please scrutinize all of my pics, as they accurately depict the game. There seem to be a couple of missing original game pieces that have been replaced by newer substitutes. And there is one game piece from another game, but it seems to be an adequate stand-in.
