Vintage Brexton 4-setting Standard Picnic Hamper - Mid 1950s:
One of several very fine examples of a Brexton Picnic Hamper, I have currently on this site. This Hamper is the Four-Place Setting version manufactured in the mid 1950s.It contains in a very compact setting, comprising 4 melamine I think) cups and saucers; the 4 spoons are plated steel. There is one large tin sandwich box, two glass containers (maybe for milk, juice etc) with a screw top and one larger glass container with a screw top. There are 2 genuine Thermos flasks each with a plastic cup attached. The container has a field green Rexine cover in excellent condition. It has a robust carry handle and two snap shut fasteners.Overall the condition is very good indeed. The lid of the sandwich box has a dimple or two and the interior of it has a little corrosion along the base seams.I can provide further photos if required. It measures 15.75 inches (40 cms) in length with a width of 11.75 inches (30 cms) and has a depth of 5 inches (12 cms). The item can be viewed before purchase if preferred.UK delivery is FREE OF CHARGE. Overseas shippng would be by FedEx due to size and weight. I have quoted FedEx rates which I hope are on the top side but will confirm the exact shipping cost at the time of purchase before invoicing.Payment by PayPal or cheque/postal order (UK only).
