Vintage Bucilla Quilt Dogwood Blossoms Applique Kit Mccalls:
There is a lot to explain about this kit so please read carefully. First of all everything that you will need to finish this quilt top is included. You can look this up on the internet and it sells for over $300 and also you can see closer pictures and get some more detail on it. I was going to do this and realized that it was too much for me. I can't seem to ever finish anything. Lets start with the large white top. It is in 3 sections, the middle and the sides. I sewed the sides to the middle with the machine but the seam needs to be taken out and done again. I did not line them up good. Should be no problem with the seam ripper to pull out the thread. The pattern of the dogwood blossoms and stems and leaves are printed on the white quilt top. Each piece is numbered both on the piece and on the white quilt top. You cut out the piece and find the same number on the quilt top and that is where you applique it on. I have cut out several and safety pin them onto the right spot. I got tired and quit. There are still several to cut out and pin. You have the pink, green and yellow pieces that are printed to cut out. The edge of the quilt all the way around is scalloped. You have enclosed binding to finish the edge. You have Thread for the applique part. You have complete instructions for the whole thing. This comes from a non smoking home. No stains , tears or rips. I hate that I started it and it is not brand new for someone else. There has been no sewing or applique done except that I sewed the white sections together that need to be redone, so really you will be doing the whole thing yourself. If you need any more information or pictures, please email me. I hope I didn't make this sound too difficult. Just look at the pictures first and then again when you read and maybe that will help explain better. Thanks for looking. I ensure you that all pieces are there because I double checked before starting. I didn't want to get half way through and realize I did not have one piece. Size is 84" x 100". You could add more where the seam is sewn to the middle to make is larger.
