I\'m pleased to offer this \"Vintage\"BLACK AMERICANA MinstrelFiguralMANTLE SHELF CLOCK.It measures 15-1/2\" tall X 10\" long X 5\" front-to-back.Made of heavy CAST IRON, this charming BLACK MAN is dressed up like an 1890\'s traveling sideshow MINSTREL.He has a flat rimmed BROWN HAT, long sleeved WHITE SHIRT and BRIGHT RED VEST. A battery operated clock in his middle forms the \"olde timey\" banjo he appears to be playing.What is remarkable are his \"PIERCINGBLUE\"stationaryGLASS EYES, that probably came from a doll maker\'s shop (see image).I personally bought this fellow from a flea market \"antique dealer\" back in the early 1980\'s so I know that he\'s at least 30+ years old. Actually a facsimile of a similar yet much earlier Black Americana figural statue, there are no markings as to the maker.The clock is original and needs a battery. It has worked over the years and I\'ve recently tested it however, I do not guarantee it due to age. With no inordinatedents or dings in the black metal castings, there is a tight 1\" stress line in the base (see image). The original hand-painted colors remain bright!This \"Vintage\" CAST IRON Black Americana MINSTRELis in overall, VERY GOOD CONDITION!
