26\" long -- are comprised of 60 and 71
hand knotted cinnabar beads respec-
tively,while both strands graduate
from approximately 5mm to 13mm
in diameterclasp is of the male/female type
measuring approximately 1.5\" x 1\" &
is set on top with ten 7mm beadssince it\'s difficult to confirm the
word of its 94 year old owner -- not
that there\'s anyreason to do so --
the story has it that the necklace
was madefor her during a family
member\'s trip to the Far East
in the late1930\'s, but since she
was of very slight built, two of the
original 4 strands were removed due
to their weight and subsequently lostcondition
