Vintage Chinese Wooden Bead Arithmetic Abacus W. Storag

The abacus was a calculator invented sometime between 1000 BC and 500 BC in China, often constructed as a wooden frame with beads sliding on wires. It was in use centuries before the adoption of the written Hindu-Arabic numeral system and is still widely used by merchants and clerks in China, Japan, Africa and elsewhere. This vintage style abacus is built on top of a beautiful wooden case in ancient Chinese dragon & pheonix design. It has a deep compartment and a small drawer for storage. A English instruction booklet for bead arithmetic is included.

Shipping Carriers: We use USPS, UPS, Fedex, DHL for small packages and some small furniture. We use other trucking freight companies for oversize and heavy furniture. WE HAVE THE OPTION TO USE ANY CARRIER. If you like us to use a specific carrier, you need to send us a special request message before we ship out.

Shipping & Handling time: We usually ship within 2 business days for small items, 2-4 days for furnitures and large items. In the event of rare or unexpected delays you will be contacted immediately.
