This is a Vintage Cordey Lady Head Roses Wall Pocket in \"as is\" condition, but still nice if you don\'t mind some chips and flaws that I would consider pretty typical for a piece like this. The wall pocket is numbered \"881 17\". Please note though that the wall pocket is not marked Cordey, but I do believe that it is made by Cordey just by the way it looks and from seeing similar wall pockets on the internet. The wall pocket is stunning depicting a head of a pretty lady with curly hair bangs wearing a pretty hat adorned with a flower. Her face is surrounded by pretty roses on either side and a ruffled collar around her chin and sides of her cheeks.On the backside of the wall pocket are two nicely drilled round holes for hanging. Please see all twelve photos for details. I tried my best to inspect this wall pocket with a magnifying glass. The wall pocket has some dirt, embedded dirt spots, and film on it, I would recommend cleaning it before displaying. Because the wall pocket has some texture, porous/spongy like surfaces in areas, rough/textured edges, and blunt/crude edges, it was somewhat difficult to determine the actual flaws versus the naturally formed flaws.The top flower on the lady\'s hat has some chips, nicks, and some dark yellowing along some of the edges, but oddly enough because of the spongy rough porous texture of the flower, it kind of counteracts with these flaws and does not take away from the overall look of the wall pocket (if you are not too picky). One of the lady\'s hair curl strands has chipped off (the third one on the left), but again it does not take away from the overall look (again if you are not too picky). I also see some chips and nicks along the edges of the ruffled collar, but since the collar has some texture, the flaws kind of blend in. The roses and leaves on the sides of the pocket have some small chips and nicks, but they are not that noticeable unless you look closer or use a magnifying glass. There are ridges and edges on the wall pocket where some of the greyish beige colored background has rubbed off probably from being handled over time leaving lighter areas in parts. But I think these lighter rubbed areas only give the pocket more character and texture. On the back top right corner of the wall pocket there is a crack line, but it does not seem to affect the pocket. The wall pocket has some naturally formed flaws typical to a piece like this such as inconsistent coverage of paint, rough edges, porous surfaces, spongy surfaces, black specks, spots of paint on the backside, etc. The wall pocket measures about 8 1/4\" long from top to bottom by about 6 3/4\" at widest point across by about 4 3/4\" high off the surface. Overall it is still a very nice wall pocket (if you are not too picky about the flaws mentioned and willing to buy it in \"as is\" condition). As mentioned before, the flaws oddly enough do not take away from the overall look of the wall pocket. The texture, rough edges, spongy like surface in some parts, and hand painted appeal counteract with the flaws. Photos may not show all flaws mentioned description.
