Here is a great Cuckoo Clock for your buying consideration. This is a project clock as not in running condition. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself.
The clock was made by a Hubert Herr of Triberg, Germany. The clock has a very colorful front. Topper has two birds on it with glass eyes. The brackets that hold the topper in place are with the clock. The clock has one door for the cuckoo. The wood case appears to all be there, including the back cover. The two bellow units for making the cuckoo sounds look intact.
The two weights and chains are there as well. The two metal weight are made to look like elongated pine cones. The colorful leaf pendulum that matches the rest of the clock is there as well. The weight chains are off of the gear wheels and will need to be rerun thru them.
Some items for your consideration - The one bellow box is loose inside the case and needs to be re-glued in place. The nail in the back to hold one side of the topper on is not there. The hour hand is in two pieces, both pieces are there. The clock has a brass movement. The clock probably dates to the 60s. I do not see a makers mark on the clock case. Was most likely made in Germany. The pendulum for the leaf bob is two popsicle sticks and the hook to hang it on the movement is not there.
The clock stands 18.25\" tall, by 13\" across, by 6.5\" wide. As noted, this is a project clock being sold in not running condition. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
As can be expectedwhen dealing with a vintage clock, some adjustments may be needed aftershipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be verydelicate. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocksbefore, I would suggest you steer clear. One really needs to have thepatience, and skill to work with these great works of art. They are notour modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. Please ask anyquestions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.

Some information from the internet about Hubert Herr Cuckoo Clocks;
The HERR family has a long tradition of Black-Forest cuckoo clock making.
Already at the beginning of the 19th century, the two brothers Andreas and Christian HERR, born in 1812 and 1814, were making cuckoo clocks in a farmhouse nearby the town of Triberg in the Black Forest of Germany.
This skill and the know-how about making of cuckoo clocks has then been passed on to the next generation, Eduard HERR. He was the one who then moved from outside of Triberg downtown, bought land and built his workshop on Nussbacherstrasse.
His son HUBERT HERR continued the work of Eduard HERR, bought additional land in the middle of Triberg, Hauptstrasse 8, which is still now the home of the company, enlarged the workshop and moved upwards step by step.
HUBERT HERR was a master woodcarver and all wooden cuckoo clock cases and carvings were already made in those days in the small factory and workshop.
HUBERT HERR had five children and they all worked at the factory and workshop.
Production increased from year to year and already in those days the cuckoo clocks were shipped to many countries around the world.
Today the HUBERT HERR cuckoo clock factory is managed by the 5th generation, Klaus HERR, Reinhard HERR and Hugo HERR.
