Up for sale this week is a beautiful cup and saucer set. The elderly lady that had these had them dispayed in covered cabinets, she had many high end items and everything was in excellent condition, as are these cups and saucers. Beautiful colors, all trimmed in heavy gold, with decorative handles. Since the flowers are all in a different pattern, I assume they are hand painted, so I am listing them separately. I don't know how to date these, but I have taken pictures of the bottom and they do have numbers on them. I have many items for sale and I can't be an expert on them all, I don't sell anything that is damaged without pointing to the flaws, but I am only human, so please email with any questions before offerding. Thanks! These are the demitasse cups and they measure 1 7/8" tall, they have a 2 5/8" opening across the top, and are 3 1/4" across, including the handle. The saucer measures 4 3/4" across. Davis Collamore & Co. was a high-end New York City importer of porcelain and glass, headed by Davis Collamore (7 October 1820 — 13 August 1887). The firm, rivals to Tiffany & Co. and Black Starr & Frost, commissioned designs from Copeland Spode and Thomas Minton Sons, that featured hand-painted details over transfer-printed outlines and often rich gilding. Porcelain by Haviland and Villeroy & Boch also appear with the firm's marks.
