Davis Automatic Inkstand, bakelite top piece and automatic inkstand in the clear glass inkwell. Inkwell measures 3 in diameter at base and 3 1/2 inches tall. The lid was glued on and the glue has given out. The top has a few chips all pictured. The lid is embossed: Davis Automatic Inkstand, New York, Made in USA, Pat Mar 19th Oct 22d 89, Feb 14th 93, June 6th 99.The last patent date is 1899. It\'s pattern is known as Chandelier AKA Crown Jewels, made by the O\'Hara Glass Company.
