This is a wonderful vintage Dickson Thanksgiving planter depicting a young Pilgrim Boy with a Rifle and a big Turkey standing next to him. Lots of bright colors and veryshiny. It is clean inside. It does not look like it was ever used as a planter. I see no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. I can see slight crazing to the glaze on the treesthat I could not see until I magnified the picture on the computer. There is a little tiny bump on the tail that was painted over, factory flaw. Hardly noticeable. There is a tinyflake of paint loss to the back on theleftside middle area by the tree.There area fewtiny, tiny flakes of paint loss on the turkey\'s neck. There are white areas from light reflecting. These spots were not even noticed by me until I looked at the magnified pictures. There is blue cold paint loss on the turkeys head and neck. It probably could be touched up. It also looks to me like there may have been white paint along the base of the tail feathers because it looks like 2 small areas where white paint with black outline exist. It looks fine without the paint in the area, but I want to let you know so that there are no surprises to the purchaser. The pictures are part of the description. This really is a beautiful planter with lots of details. Nice colorfulbright colors!The pilgrim boy even has freckles above his nose. It is rather large and heavy and is approximately 5 inches tall at the tail feathers, and a little over 4 inches wide, side view. Very few hand painted planters are painted on the back. This one is painted on the back with lovely trees from the forest where he has been hunting. This is a very nicely made planter. This old planter displays beautifully even with the paint loss. This is a quality piece, and very rare. A very nice oldie, but goodie! I pack all items very well. I only ship Priority mail as it comes with free insurance and delivery confirmation.
