You are looking at a vintage, early American, solid brass, door knocker. This is not a lightweight. This heavy brass door knocker is an outstanding piece. It features a wide winged eagle on top of a ball with a star. There is foliage around the ball. The knocker hitting the hollowed out ball gives this knocker the extra added sound needed to make this the perfect item for a large door. The knocker measures 9" high x 10-3/4" across and is up to 2" in thickness including the knocker. There are 2 -1/4" screw holes on the back side. This item is beautiful and a excellant piece of history.

I will not use chemicals to clean them so they might still have some dirt or tarnish. I am very careful how I clean pearls and rhinestones.
