Welcome to Vintage Visage Patterns
This is one of our most popular patterns- it is a diagram sewing pattern/instructions for a wonderful yet very easy to make 1920s flapper dress. Those of you who are watching the new series of Downton Abbey will see that it is now set in the early 1920s and the dresses that the ladies wear are becoming low waisted and very much like these.....its a very stylish dress to wear, and apparently you could make it in less than an hour!
A diagram pattern means that there are no actual paper pieces and a diagram or chart or written instructions is given with measurements so that you can easily cut out the paper pattern yourself. This pattern in particular uses very simple shapes. Instructions of how to make the item are also given.
Here at Vintage Visage we are proud of how we reproduce our patterns-The pattern is reformatted from the original, meaning that the type is easier to read as it is larger. Sometimes we keep the original font and sometimes we rewrite it partially or in full. Where necessary we give you the modern needles/hook size and usually the modern yarn weight too. This pattern is pages of A4 size paper on 120g cream paper and is posted in a clear resealable bag in a board back envelope
You are allowed and encouraged to make items to sell from our patterns- we are here to inspire you after all! We love it when customers send us photos of items they have made however, as we have rewritten and reformulated the patterns you may not resell or copy the pattern.
