\"Hiroshima Photo Album.\" Nice copy -- including a striking color lithograph map of urban Hiroshima -- of a 1954 Japanese collection of Yuichiro Sasaki\'s soul-wrenching photographs of Hiroshima devastated by the atomic bomb along with narrative by Yoyofumi Ogura discussing both the devastation and the movement to present Hiroshima as symbol of the need for world peace. While the narrative and images generally focus on the destruction wrought in August, 1945, there are several photographs from 1953 and 1954 that portray the physical healing of the city. 7-1/2\" by 7\" cord-bound publication with a cover photo of partial reconstruction at the explosion center. Text in both Japanese and English. At front is a fold-out is a striking color lithograph map of the urban center of Hiroshima. There is also a two-color map diagramming the explosion and its range of destruction. 54 pages.
