Vintage Early German Erna Meyer Cloth Dollhouse Grandpa Doll Orig Tag & Clothes :
Offered here for your offerdingconsideration is thisearlyvintageErna dollwith hisoriginal Liliput Beige Puppchen hang tag and clothing! Made in Germany, this is an older example of the Ermey dollhouse dolls with cloth shoes,and dates to about the 1950's to 60's.(Later examples have plastic feet.) Standing just61/4" tall, he iswell made with a lot of detail forone so small! The little headisformed of a molded stockinettewith handpainted facial features that include age lines around the eyes and mouth to accentuate his advanced years.His mohair wig is appropriately white and worn with a "comb-over" on the top of his balding head.The doll has a wire armature body that is padded and wrapped in flesh toned stockinette, withcrepe paperwrapped legs. Grandpa is dressed in his heather smoking jacket with wooly looking feltpants. He is in very good, clean condition, but note the wear to the cloth covering is left ear, asphotographed. There is a partial label stapled to the back of his jacket that matched that of his wife's, which is hand lettered 'Germany.' The Erna Meyer grandma doll seen in the last three pictures is not included here, but can be viewed separately.
