Vintage Enameled Sterling Silver Thimble

This lovely solid silver thimble has a beautifully handpainted enamel floral garland band design featuring roses & forget me nots.The top has an 8 petaled flower/star design on top and I think it was made by Gabler. It has a mark on the side, probably \'800\' but it\'s not readable. It tests 800/1000 pure silver. The rim is stamped with a French import silver mark, indicating it was imported into France at some point in its history.

The condition is excellent with no damage to the silver or enamel. It\'s about an American size 11 (17 mm diameter opening). It\'s part of a collection that\'s been in storage for over 50 years, so it\'s at least that old.
