Vintage End Of The Trail Polychrome Bronze Metal Bookends Ronson Marion Pompeian:
Beautiful oldpoly-chromebronzed "End of the Trail" art metal bookends made in the early 20th century. Each is identical, depicting a robed Indian with a spear slouched over his horse that appears to be descending a rocky hill. These bookends are in very good condition and have their original bronze, red and blue-green colors. Very striking. The underside of one has its original metal plate, the other is open. Each bookend stands 6" tall on a 4.25" by 2.5" base, and weighs almost 2 lbs. apiece. There is no label or makers mark, but these bookends were probably made by Ronson, Pompeian Bronze, Armor or Marion Bronze. These old metal poly-chromes are true works of art.
