Vintage Flow Blue Celery Dish ‘touraine’ Pattern – Made In England:
This lovely flow blue celery dish or gravy underplate was made in England and measures approximately 8 ¾” x 4 ¾”. It is in the ‘Touraine’ pattern and features three pretty flow blue floral bouquets, a scalloped rim with fancy blue scrollwork, gold trim and embossed markings. Marked on the underside of the dish is a blue inkstamp, “Touraine – England”. This pattern was used by Henry Alcock & Co. and the Stanley Pottery Co., two English potteries operating in the first quarter of the 20th century. This dish is in good condition with the exception of the following flaws: overall wear and crazing, slight discoloration on the underside and a few small chips on the underside of the rim. In spite of these minor flaws this is a beautiful flow blue dish.
