Vintage solid wood heart shaped sewing box with magnets recessed into the drawer ends so they stay closed tight! age appropriate marks and alike as seen in photos Mixed Lot of Misc Sewing Supplies from Estate Sale. Lots of different items like 13+ Singer self threading sewing needles in old plastic round case, lots of buttons of all types, styles & colors, tools, instant buttons, old needles (straight & curved) thread thread and more thread, box of pins, patches, scissors etc. sewing box measures approx. 8 1/2"w x 6"L x 5 1/2"h

Box is in overall great condition for it's age, I remember it on my Aunt Sara's side table back in the 60's ! She cherished this as when she escaped Russia when the czar was overthrown the soldiers burned her family's tailor shop, she left with nothing and made it to America. She sewed for a livelihood and as a hobby....even when arthritis messed up her joints! She used to say with her accent "Is a pleasure to have such nice things...an don't you forget it schmartypants" ! The box is a lovely wood..perhaps walnut or cherry? I don't really know. She used to keep her Jewelry hidden in it as well.
