Up for sale this week from a nice Tulsa estate, is this fantastic 1930 Art Deco ashstand by the Frankart company featuring a nude nymph girl standing with legs coyly crossed and arms raised high in the air to support a black amethyst glass ashtray. The ash stand is 23 1/2\" tall and the ashtray adds another 2\" to the height. She stands on a copper metal ball and is supported by a metal base. Item is marked with the Frankart name and patent number. I see some slight discoloration to the ball in places, a few paint flakes, hairline cracks in base, slight bend to metal tray, no breaks. I believe originally that pottery ashtrays were accompanying this stand but this glass one fits well and has Deco lines so makes the piece function well. A beautiful piece of Frankart to enhance any collection.
